In recent years, the marine industry has witnessed a strong trend towards even further containerisation. In the past, large cargo ships were of many more types than today, when commercial transport vessels are confined to very few types, the container ships ranging highest in terms of growth,number, size, as well as speed. With this situation in mind, it is only natural that container ships attract keen interest from the suppliers, i.e. primarily the shipyards and the engine builders.
