- 25/08/2008, MAN Diesel takes over Danish service specialist
- To strengthen its after-sales business, the Augsburg-based MAN Diesel SE has taken over Danish firm Metalock Denmark A/S, which has its headquarters in Copenhagen. Metalock specialises in what is known as mobile machining, the technique of machining engine components, particularly crankshafts, in situ.

- MAN Diesel SE, Augsburg, the world’s leading provider of large diesel engines for use in ships and power plants, has signed a licence agreement with one of China's largest engine manufacturers, the Weichai Holding Group Co. Ltd, for the production of type 27/38 and 32/40 MAN Diesel four-stroke engines.

- 2007 was another record year for MAN Diesel, with the Group achieving new highs in all its key figures for the third consecutive year. The Augsburg-based large-bore engine manufacturer reported a 37% rise in operating profit to €313 million.
- 03/04/2008, 28 Type 32/40 Engines
- MAN Diesel has won a major contract worth around EUR 70 million for 28 of its type 32/40 marine diesel engines and associated propulsion systems.
- 20/02/2008, Marine Training Centre in Hamburg
- MAN Diesel is the largest single investor in the new MTC Marine Training Centre, which will open its doors on 1st January 2009. The City of Hamburg will be backing the company with Euro 900,000. The engine manufacturer is investing Euro 750,000 into the MTC, which will be used primarily to build a training workshop.
