- 13/03/2010, MAN Diesel Tugs Market in Right Direction
- MAN Diesel Spain has been very active within the tug segment recently, having played a key role in three orders that contract the company to supply 18 of MAN Diesel L27/38 engines to Boluda Corporación Marítima, Spain, the international marine group and leading shipbuilder. The engines are destined for nine newbuilding tugs; ten engines were already delivered in 2009 with the remainder due in 2010/2011.

- The first Tier-II compliant MAN B&W engine has finished production at HHI-EMD (Hyundai Heavy Industries Engine & Machinery Division) in Korea and is ready for delivery.
- 22/02/2010, MAN Diesel and DSME to Jointly Develop Gas Technology
- At a ceremony in Copenhagen on 11 February, 2010, MAN Diesel signed a development agreement, effective immediately, with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. (DSME). The two companies have agreed to jointly develop and exploit the adaptation of DSME’s high-pressure cryogenic gas-supply system for installation with MAN B&W ME-GI engines.

- MAN Diesel has announced a series of significant orders for its two-stroke, electronic ME-engines in Brazil. The new engines will be delivered to Petrobras and Vale, who together draw on Brazil’s long-standing tradition in shipping, shipbuilding, hydrocarbon exploration and mining, as well as its general status as a BRIC country with a rapidly developing economy.
- 12/02/2010, Chinese Ferry Company Orders MAN Engines
- Bohai Ferry Co., Ltd. has ordered four MAN 16V32/40CD propulsion plants to power two passenger vessels to supplement its fleet. The four-stroke engines will be built at MAN Diesel’s production centre in Augsburg, Germany, and will operate at 750 rpm, providing a total of 16 MW of installed power for the 2300P/2500LM RoPax vessels.
